Danfoss Set to Open Application Development Center in Singapore
Danfoss Application Development Centers (ADCs) are an investment in the long-term partnerships we are working to build with our customers and partners.
Singapore is one of the busiest Marine and Offshore harbours in the world and is home to around 130 of the world’s top shipping groups, plus a rich diversity of maritime products and services. Danfoss saw the potential this presented and has made significant investments by building a Marine & Offshore Application Development center (ADC) in Singapore. The ADC will be officially inaugurated on January 25th, joining a family of ADCs around the world that are actively working with industry, academia and the public sector to advance our innovative solutions and help our customers engineer tomorrow.
The ADC can be used for customer training sessions, product and application testing and new solutions development in partnership with customers and partners. The state-of-the-art center is equipped with testing and demo units for various marine & offshore applications. This includes a 45 kW motor load test bench for regenerative applications, and multiple drives for drive sync applications, generator synchronizing and load sharing. A power-conversion-technology test bench is available for testing and demonstrating battery energy storage and grid converter applications for hybrid propulsion systems, and ship-to-shore power supply.“Having such live demo’s and testing facility at ADC will bring us closer to the customers, and will also gives us a clear differentiator to showcase our skills and expertise in the market,”
explains Martin Versluis, Manager of Marine and Off Shore Center of Excellence in Singapore.
The ADC is also equipped with digital solutions including remote monitoring and the demonstration of live demos and testing, which can be used online across the region. "The ongoing investment at ADC and dedicated application experts are already making significant impact in the market. This ADC supports our commitment to helping the industry advance innovative and energy-efficient solutions in the region,”
explains Soren Kvorning, President of Danfoss Asia Pacific Region.
